Dear All,

I am a 4th year medical student from the UK and was hoping to find out a bit more about PIMS and Shifa in terms of if anyone has any experience with doing electives with them? What are the consultants like and what sort of expectations do they have of foreign medical students? Is it hands on?

I am interested in intensive care medicine/ anaesthetics/ emergency medicine (A&E).

Also, I have seen the form for Shifa and sort of have an idea about the application process - any info on PIMS?Do they even do electives for external students? Am looking to stay in ISB with family.

Thanks for reading! Am new to this forum and have just found it whilst researching, so apologies if it is not in the right place.

Edit: I will be looking to do it in the summer of 2023 (July roughly).
