I am in US and senior in high school. I want to go to AKU but it is ver tough so im lookin into DMC. anyone know the average GPA of students accepted and the apps. process.

Also i want to know about the standard of Hamdard and Baqai

which medical college would be best for me (in karachi) so i could get residency in US in internal medicine or ER medicine???

well i think dmc is the best med college.in 2006 it was closed at 70percent.so i think its not too hard to get admission.u must join any academy in karachi ithink STUDENTS IN is the best academy.
baqai is the best best private med college in karachi after AKU.its degree is accepted abroad.college life is also mast.hamdard is also good but baqai would be the better choice.

Hi guyz... I've got my high school done form canada with a 4.0 GPA... but still found getting into AKU somewhat tougher than usual(and also its way too expensive)... i'm pretty sure by now u guyz know that there's two pathways one can pick... either go for private or public...

I've personaly decided to go for private since its easier for me to adjust both environmentally and academically... I'm currently a student at ZMU... it's considered second best private med school after AKU (in karachi of course) and there's no entrance test for foreigners... Baqai i've heard is also considered a suitable alternative but getting their could be a problem if you're living in defence/clifton.

As for DMC/SMC, u'll have to join coaching centers like anees husssain or student inn and believe me there's a lot of paper work that'll drive u nuts... I did apply for DMC and also got accpeted eventually but still decided to continue at ZMU... if someone needs more info regarding public colleges here in khi... please feel free to ask if u guyz need to knwo more about med colleges in khi... oooh and also... any ZMUers in here ?
