AOA, I am Azee and am from Toronto, Canada. I am currently studying in first year of university here and want to apply to a medical school in Pakistan for year 2008. My % in high school ( Grade 12 )was 90+
Some of the things I would like to know are:
When is the initial process start date for foreigners?
The annual fees for international students and the hostel fee
The sessions start dates
How the interview is conducted for foreign students ( On phone or U have to be there)
I wrote the UKAT exam for applying to one of the Med school in UK; do I still need SAT II as well
What is the difference between Overseas and foreign students seats ?
Furthermore, out of Shifa, CMH Lahore, Fatima Memorial and Agha Khan which one is the best? If someone could rate these from 1- 4.
Thank you,
Azee

P.s how do they calculate the
Equivalence and for which subjects:happy:

hey Azee,
h'm from Toronto as well and applying to the med school for this year since my graduation is this june but i think yours and my scenerios are a bit different since I'm a high school student and am basically focusing on gov. schools in Pakistan.
so i don't think i have to write any SAT tests n all (as far as I'm told) and just need my high school transcript where its mandatory for me to have eng, chem, phy and bio with i think atleast 75% of average of the four and the rest of my high school courses apparently may not count at all.

i went to the Canadian-Pak embassy and got this info but there were parts where the people didn't make sense to me so i would have to go again and find better ppl to talk to.

so i may post again after paying a visit to the embassy and clearing things out with them.

btw: what uni are you in and for which course? (if u don't mind)

p.s. the best way to get the info for this issue is to pay a visit to the Can-Pak embassy yourself because no where on the internet do they offer complete and reliable info for Canadians applying for med schools in Pakistan n all.... :s
